My Email:popkulcher@aol.com
Favorite Seventies act(s): The Clash
Comments: Yours is unquestionably one of the finest music pages on the Web. Of course, as a fan of less mainstream music (i.e. alternative, punk, whatever), it saddens me that most people associate 70's music with either classic rock (Floyd, Zeppelin), laid-back California sounds (Eagles, Jackson Browne) or silly novelty music (Bay City Rollers, Abba) -- rather than recognizing some of the truly groundbreaking music, both pop and punk, which came out of that decade. Bands like Big Star, the Modern Lovers, Brian Eno, the Ramones, the Sex Pistols, etc., are all "seventies" bands, but rarely get much attention from 70's-related media. Ah, well, there's my gripe. Keep up the great work.

Comments: I don't mean to "hog the page," but I thought about my answer to "Favorite Seventies Act". I loved Southern Rock, but then I began to look over my albums and decided that I'm not sure who my favorite act is. My friends and I wore Neil Young's Harvest album out! We also had favorites by the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Creedence Clearwater Revival and I personally collected a tremendous amount of Motown, R & B, Aerosmith and Steppenwolf. I also recently saw Bob Dylan in concert and thought I'd died and gone to heaven. I guess I couldn't claim any special Seventies Act, but this decade was so very rich in artists and song that I almost cry when I see them recognized at award's shows. We'll never see this kind of music again. I guess every generation feels tha way, but this was probably the happiest time in my life, and I want to remember every last detail. Thanks for listening.

Now I can find my own copy of it, using the artist's name. Hurrah! And a thousand thank yous for the information.

Your constant "slam" of Floyd depicts that you have no knowledge of Seventies music and the inspiration that it has placed on today's generation.
