(You can't but help feel sorry for Mrs. Robinson). Comments: Anne Bancroft was an elegant, beautiful woman - and she had much more stature than Dustin Hoffman. I idolised her because of this film; she is such a goddess, and I loved her from first time I saw this film (less than a decade ago). I was so sad to hear that she passed away this week, I offer my deepest condolence to her family. She was one of the venerable, sophisticated people of all time. She had immense talent and mettle to make such an archetypal performance, which was distant from the repressive mainstream films for that era; she deserved an Oscar for her performance in this film. I will always love you deeply, Anny!
