If you are a fan of Wish & that era of The Cure, do yourself a favor & get tracks 41 through 47. They are some of the absolute best recordings I’ve heard from this band. Its absurd they are pushed off as B-sides!!

The good thing is, it does contain all the tracks from The Walk e.p./Japanese Whispers releases, though sadly, not the 7 minute version of Just One Kiss. Lament, which is an all time classic Cure song is presented in two different versions as well. Definately a must have for diehards.

I just bought this yesterday and I absolutely love it!! It is a must-have for any Cure fan! Some of the songs should've been released, they are that good! Thank you Robert, this is a true gift!! Brilliant!

oh the cure, my favorite band of all time, i may be a youngster, but their music ive been around since i was 8, my older bros listened to them constantly and im glad i finally i have my hand on a physical copy of this! Its a must, its amazing in every way and the songs will never fade.

Just buy it already it's the Cure. They don't disappoint, this is a great collection, if you're not sure about buyin the whole thing try This Twilight Garden and Burn and Purple Haze the second version and Babble these are sine of my favorites. One question though, can somebody tell me why the remix of 'Let's Go To Bed' is not on here??? Since it wasn't on the 'remix' cd it should have been included here as an 'alternate' version, also the other mix of Open is not here umm why?? So the omission of those songs requires me to only give four stars instead of five.

Yes-- The Cure is great. But be honest, don't you get tired after a while listening to the same albums over and over? Well, this is very refreshing and great collection of songs. Not a dull moment here. Buy it. 'Nuff said.....

My title explains itself the price is the best ive ever seen also there are very great songs hear most have been mentioned by the other reviews but id also like to bring the cures cover of depeche modes "world in my eyes" into the limelight the cure not only covered it but they molded it into there own creation and made it just as good if not better then the original

Not every song is great... almost every song is great. The Exploding Boy, A Few Hours After This, Sugar Girl, Babble, 2 LATE, This Twilight Garden, HAL, The Big Hand... The list could go on for days... I bought it the day it came out in 2004 and it felt like 1987 all over again.

This collection was yearned for by many for as many years. Disc three could be a release in it's own right. Saying that these songs are as polished as any "A-Side" is spot on. "Burn" (CD3, track 10) is a force of nature, but the true gem is "This Twilight Garden" (CD3, track 1). Had that song been included on WISH, then the debate as to which is better, Disintegration or Wish, would go on 'til timer imemorial. Great collection.

Wow!!! I always expect great things from the Cure, and this is no let down! As usual, the sound is unique, and Robert's vocals shine through! I love the cure, and this is soooo great. Worth all the money, and just a wonderful thing to add to your cure collection...I saw them in concert at the partriot center recently, and they were simply AMAZING. Thank you for being so wonderful!!!

As someone who loved the B-sides from "Starting at the Sea" (cassette version) and who obsessively bought every cassingle, someone who spent big bucks on Happily Ever After and other UK-only releases, someone who bought every 45" and 33" extended remix to collect every possible utterance by this band (yeah, I was a true "fan" for a long time), I have missed many of these songs like faraway family. I have the records but no record player. I have the cassettes but a broken cassette player. And here, at last... A Few Hours After This, Stop Dead, A Chain of Flowers, Fear of Ghosts, Play... For old school Cure fans, this collection is well worth the price.

This is a great compilation. I only wish iTunes would offer "Japanese Whispers" which is where "Upstairs Room", "Lament" and "Speak my Language" came from...I had that on TAPE! One of my faves...

Disc one alone is worth the price of admission! If you had "Standing on A Beach" on cassette no doubt those b-sides are just as crucial Cure discoveries as any of their early output! Of course, there are many many more grrrrrreat! tracks here...may even be more crucial than any Cure compilation has ever been! Get this collection, Wish, Disintegration, Bloodflowers, The Head On The Door, Kiss Me and Staring At The Sea and you've got what I consider "Crucial" Cure...then build your collection from there!!!

Yeah, this is mostly a b-side collection, but there are a number of priceless rarities in this set. The first couple of disks are really what you would expect from a b-side compilation in that the music is just alternate versions and second rate songs compared to their studio albums. But in the 90s the cure did not produce very much music. So the 3rd and 4th disks in this set are really like two new studio albums almost, because they encompass all the music that the group was making that did not get onto a studio album because no albums were being produced. There are a number of songs that were only released as singles, only released as demos, only released as individual tracks for soundtracks and collaberation albums, etc. So this boxed set is not only important for the collector who wants all the rarities and alternate versions from the early days, but for all cure fans who would like to have more music from that dry period of the 90s. There is music in this boxed set that rivals anything you will find on any of the cure's studio albums and that you won't find anywhere else.
