Rare whole album quality

Definitely went in the right directon with the classical music complimenting her vocals. The album is devoid of annoying (and lazy) computer sounds. It is all very grand and supersonic, and it cruises where it makes sense to. The album has so much variety that it presents itself more like a perfectly curated playlist. I wish I had something more impactful to say here but I'm not some writer. In short, I detest pop yet this is going on week two of back to back replays.

“Unapologetically dramatic” and incredibly unforgettable. I’m obsessed with the whole thing. It’s cinematic. It’s inspired. I have had it on repeat for weeks and I still get goosebumps and well up with tears and smile or laugh at a clever lyric or phrase. The only thing that could make it better would be to see it performed live in all its glory.

If you, like myself, are an educated music lover, then you know the challenges that come with listening to your music library on random. You’ll jump from one genre to another in almost a whiplash like fashion. Well, Raye has done something quite amazing where they have used that sort of genre whiplash effect as you jump from genre to genre mid song as a way to heighten expression. Raye is clearly a well educated musician that has created a new sort of organization of sound that has great depth of understanding of musical expression and the human condition. This album really does seem to contain hope for those who need it or at least a little bit of healing.

This is one of the most creative, best albums, I have heard in several years. I so admire the many musical influences that contribute to the artistry found here. It is not often I buy a full album anymore. I took a risk and did so because of the brilliance of the first single, Where is My Husband. I think we have finally discovered Raye. I’m a fan.

A Generational Album

There are those albums that rarely come along that defy time period and age. This will be one of those, I just know it. The title speaks truth as this album inspires just that, hope. Years and years from now this album will be there to help people get through tough moments in their life, offer them happiness, encouragement, and strength. It is big and grand but still soft and sweet. I think this will stay a favorite of mine for a very long time.
